Depending on professional background, experience and family situation, a competitive compensation and benefits package is offered.
Degree from a university or from an institution of equivalent status
or a combination of academic and professional experience; must have
passed the official United Nations French Interpreters examination.
At least five years of internationally recognised professional interpreters' experience with preferably two years of experience in the United Nations Secretariat.
Experience as Team leader/Officer-in-Charge during major meetings;
familiarity with DCS/UNON administrative and financial mechanisms, particularly the charge-back system.
English and French are the official working languages of the United
For this post, perfect command of French and an excellent
knowledge of English and Spanish or Russian are required.
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset.
Other Desirable Skills:
Proven ability to interpret from or into other official languages will be an asset.
