Tharaka Nithi County Assembly Medical Specialist – Oncologist Jobs in Kenya

Requirements for appointment:

Be a Kenyan citizen;

Be a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.,& ChB.) Degree from a University recognized in Kenya;

Must have completed a Masters Degree in Oncology from a recognized institution in Kenya;

Registered as a Medical/Specialist Practitioner by Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council;

Have a Valid Practicing License;

Be of acceptable moral and professional standing;

Willing to undertake duties in person in any part of Tharaka Nithi County as they will be assigned from time to time;

Duties and responsibilities:

The Oncologist shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following:

Undertaking general diagnosis, care, treatment and rehabilitation of patients.

Carrying out specialized clinical care;

Providing psychosocial interventions;

Providing clinical services to patients;

Training, consulting and performing surgeries;

Carrying out forensic and medico-legal services;

Coordinating diseases surveillance, prevention and control;

Coordinating health education and promotion;

Implementing health projects and programmes;

Maintaining up-to-date health information systems;

Monitoring provision of health treatment and care;

Undertaking health research;

Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
