Each year, up to 100 Rotary World Peace Fellowships are offered on a competitive basis at six Rotary Centers, which operate in partnership with seven leading universities.
Applicants must be "commited to peace" and have at least three years of experience in their field.
The fellows are chosen from countries and cultures around the globe based on their potential as leaders in government, business, education, media and other professional areas.
Rotary Club membership is not required.
The Rotary Foundation provides fellows with funding to cover the required tuition and fees, room and board, travel to and from the study city, books and supplies, and an applied field experience.
This unique fellowship not only covers living expenses but also conference and internship funding.
Alumni work all over the world with organization ranging from grassroots peace initiatives in Africa to the United Nations.
Applicants for the program must secure an endorsement from their local Rotary Club before July 1 every year.
