Kenya Planters Co-operative Union Principal Human Resource Management Officer Jobs

Duties and Responsibilities

Implementing human resource management policies, laws, regulations, procedures and systems;

Analyzing the staffing levels and making proposals for succession planning;

Analyzing utilization of human resources and advising on proper deployment;

Analyzing staff progression and making proposals for career development;

Facilitating grievance handling mechanism;

Preparing the payroll;

Organizing training programmes.

Inducting staff and on-boarding programmes;

Undertaking training needs analysis, projections and developing training programmes;

Developing training materials for in-house courses;

Preparing of human resource management budget; and

Preparing periodic progress reports.

Requirements

A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, at least three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory role;

Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
OR

Bachelors degree in Social Sciences Plus Diploma in any of the following discipline: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Relations, Labour Relations or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: - Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Human Resource

Planning, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;

Registered member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM);

Proficiency in computer applications;

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
