The Role

Natural State is seeking a skilled and experienced Grant Proposal Writer and Reporting Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development, conservation, climate, and environmental issues, with a proven track record of successfully securing grants and reporting on project outcomes. This position will report to The Head of Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, bi/multi-laterals, and corporations.

  • Develop high-quality grant proposals, grant applications, reports, and concept notes in accordance with funder guidelines and requirements.

  • Work closely with program staff to gather relevant data, stories, and information to strengthen grant proposals and reports.

  • Manage the grant writing process from start to finish, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission of proposals.

  • Monitor grant deadlines and requirements and ensure compliance with reporting guidelines.

  • Collaborate with program staff to collect data, evaluate program impact, and prepare comprehensive grant reports.

  • Maintain accurate records of all grant applications, awards, and reporting requirements.

  • NB: Any other official duties assigned by
    your supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferable.

    Desired Experience

  • 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in grant writing, reporting, and management in the development, conservation, climate, and environment sectors.

  • Strong understanding of funding trends, donor priorities, and grant-making processes.

  • Proven record of accomplishment in developing successfully funded proposals exceeding $250,000 with references required.

    Person Profile: -

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, grant management software, and database systems.
