Job Purpose:

The job holder will be responsible for supporting business growth strategy through implementation of projects value addition plans and strategies on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with projects managers to assist in reports analysis and execution of projects work strategies to completion.

  • Support in doing proper project planning with clear budgets, timely projections.

  • Help in tracking project costs in order to meet the given budget.

  • Recruit more qualified staff to help in managing workload, assist in handling petty cash for labor wages.

  • Work closely with caretakes and casual laborers to ensure they are performing their roles effectively.

  • Ensure that a list of all site property and assets are well kept, work with caretakers to ensure they are safe and in good condition against pilferage and wastage in all projects.

  • Manage relationships in the current customer portfolio and ensure excellent customer service to all the clients.

  • Maintain high standards of service to both internal and external clients.

  • Ensure safety and health regulations are fully adhered to in all sites, ensure total compliance with all legal regulations.

  • Work closely with the human resource department & projects managers to ensure safety measures are in place across all Optiven projects.

  • Do project master plans with guidance of projects manager and assist in monitoring and evaluation of progress.

  • Share with management daily and weekly reports on value additions, incidents
    and defects as well as casuals engaged.

  • Perform any other responsibilities that may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil engineering or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of project management and related experience.

  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be a plus.

  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.

  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.

  • Good communication, analytical, report writing and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
