Location: Nairobi

Required Competencies & Knowledge

  • Ability to work with figures;
  • Ability to draft a wide variety of reports and taking meetings' minutes in English language;
  • Ability to produce accurate records/reports with well-analysis of data under minimum supervision;
  • And demonstrate excellent organization skills and sound judgement;
  • Ability to work in a team environment to use tact and discretion when dealing with others both inside and outside the Secretariat.
  • Familiarity with social development sectors good understanding of the need for coordination of activities of various actors.
  • Ability of work in a multi-culture environment.

    Academic Qualifications/Experience/Language

  • A First Degree in social sciences or related filed with experience.
  • Four to six years programme assistant experience in a UN or other international organization.
  • Fluency in both written and oral English; knowledge of Somali is an asset.
  • Knowledge of micro-computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet software, window, Power-Point).

    The applicant must have the legal status to be able to reside and work in Kenya


    Mature, good people skills, good knowledge of development and related issued, good initiative to carry out tasks.

    Familiarity or knowledge of Somalia will be an asset.
