Environmental Photography Award

Environmental Photography Award;Launched in 2021, the Environmental Photography Award rewards photographers annually for raising awareness of environmental protection.

The Award celebrates the beauty of our planet and illustrates the different relationships humans have with nature – whether destructive or regenerative – through five categories: Polar Regions, Forests, Ocean, Humanity versus Nature, and Changemakers.

An international jury of professional photographers selects 36 finalists and chooses category winners and the overall winner. A Public Award and a Students’ Choice Award are also presented.

Exhibitions have travelled to Italy, San Marino, Spain, the United States, Canada and France, with a book published each year.

The Award is a flagship awareness‑raising event for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and one of the three pillars of its Green Shift initiative, dedicated to promoting inspiring environmental storytelling.
