Fully Funded TWAS Research Professors in Least Developed Countries;The programme provides institutions and research groups in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) with the opportunity to establish long‑term links with TWAS Members and TWAS Young Affiliates/Alumni. The objective is to assist in research activities, advanced training, and capacity development.

Programme Overview

A number of TWAS Fellows and TWAS Young Affiliates/Alumni will be offered appointments as TWAS Research Professors for one year. During this period, the Research Professor will visit the host institution for two to four weeks.

TWAS provides economy‑class round‑trip travel and an honorarium. The host institution covers local living expenses. Both the Research Professor and host institution must submit a comprehensive report after the visit.
