MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program for Early Researchers;Since 2018, the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) initiative has attracted talented researchers worldwide to contribute to addressing major environmental and climate challenges. Recognized by French research laboratories and institutions, MOPGA is a flagship program for postdoctoral mobility in France.

The tenth call for applications will enable young international researchers to carry out a 12‑month research project in France, fostering collaboration with leading institutions and strengthening scientific contributions to issues addressed at the Conferences of the Parties (COPs).

Research Themes

  • Earth system sciences.

  • Climate change and sustainability sciences.

  • Energy transition.

  • Societal challenges related to environmental issues.

  • Human, animal and environmental health (One Health approach).

    Innovative approaches involving advanced technologies in these areas will be prioritized.

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Doctoral degree awarded between December 2021 and December 2026.

  • Exclusively foreign nationality (non‑French).

  • Must apply for international mobility to France.

  • Not residing or professionally active in France at the time of application.

  • Must not have previously received a MOPGA fellowship.

    Fellowship Terms

  • Duration: 12 months.

  • Monthly allowance: €2,500.

  • Settling‑in allowance: €500.

  • Health coverage: insurance, civil liability, repatriation assistance, supplementary health insurance after registration with French social security.

  • Status: French Government Scholarship holder (BGF).

  • Fellowship covers living expenses only; host laboratories do not receive funding.

    Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Scientific experts assess applications.

  • Stage 2: Scientific committee makes final selection of fellows.
