The School of Physical Sciences, University of Kent has a Marie Curie PhD position, to start in January, supported by the EU Framework 6 Program for 3 years.
The work will be developed at the sites of Imagine Eyes in Paris and University of Kent, Canterbury.
The program is intended for Early Stage Researchers, with less than 4 years research experience.
The applicants must have a good background in experimental optics, and expected to have graduated in Physics (Optics), Medical Physics or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
We are looking for highly imaginative and self-motivated individuals.
Candidates with prior expertise in optical coherence tomography, adaptive optics for the eye, low coherence interferometry, optical scanning, sensing, optical sources and optical devices, modelling the propagation of light into the tissue are particularly welcomed.
Generous salaries are provided, subject to mandatory deductions as levied by the UK and France.
