This fellowship programme is for female students from Sub-Saharan Africa or Least Developed Countries (LDCs) who wish to pursue postgraduate degree in the South outside their own country. Each fellowship will be offered for a maximum of three years and will cover travel expenses, accommodation and living expenses.
In order to promote international co-operation, particularly with developing countries, the University of Pavia and EDiSU (Institute for the Right to University Studies) are offering, seven scholarships for visiting scholars. Each CICOPS Scholar will receive 200.00 Euros per week (gross). Also covered is travel, board and lodging expenses.
Applications are invited for Intellectual Property Scholarships at Queen Mary University, UK. New and continuing MPhil/PhD students undertaking research in the area of intellectual property can apply. The awards cover tuition fees (including Overseas rates) as well as a quarterly stipend which varies every year.
Brunel University is delighted to announce scholarships totalling £100,000 to international students, available to both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants. The Scholarships are open to any international student who holds a conditional or unconditional offer from Brunel for September 2008/2009.
Integrated Masters in Health Informatics Scholarships are available to students from developing countries. A formal requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in informatics, health or related areas. No tuition fee will be charged. The scholarships will cater for basic subsistence and accommodation and transport from home area to the city of education.
A number of Scholarships are available for International students at Pretoria University. Admission will be on a competitive basis and the admission criteria will include working experience, academic qualifications, and the levels of commitment and professionalism displayed through past experience.
The Department of Law, Queen Mary University, seeks to award Graduate Teaching Awards (GTAs) to PhD students each year. GTA cover fees and £12,000 maintenance costs. GTAs are awarded annually on the basis of the academic excellence of the candidates and the teaching needs of the department at the time.
The WCS Graduate Scholarship Program provides graduate education opportunities to exceptional conservationists from Africa. Individuals are selected based on their potential to become conservation leaders, influencing local or national conservation in their home country.
17 grants of up to $25,000 are available every year to support wildlife conservation field research in Africa. WCS funds research, training and applied conservation in 17 African countries. The Africa Program supports long-term field sites as well as short-term research projects.
Rufford Small Grants For Nature Conservation of up to £6,000 are available to individuals or small groups and aimed at small conservation programmes and pilot projects.
The Monbukagakusho Scholarship covers tuition fees, provides one round trip ticket to and from Japan, entrance examination and entrance fees. Also included is a monthly allowance of 170,000 Yen for the first 12 months, and 160,000 Yen for the remaining period.
A number of full and partial scholarships for young postgraduate students wishing to study full-time for an M.Litt. in Islamicjerusalem Studies are available. The scholarship will cover the full student tuition fee plus £500 fixed monthly sum to cover living expenses.

Al-Maktoum Foundation offers a number of bursaries of up to £3000 to new students at the Al-Maktoum Institute taking one of their MLitt programmes. The bursaries are awarded to students of academic merit, and on the basis of demonstrated financial need.
The Andy Burgess Scholarship Fund for Social Entrepreneurship at INSEAD will provide a scholarship up to €10,000 to deserving candidates admitted to the INSEAD MBA programme, who through their experience prior to INSEAD can demonstrate a commitment to social entrepreneurship.
The Goldman Sachs scholarships up to €15,000 for Africans nationals is designed to give candidates from African countries access to a world-class MBA education. The scholarship winners will be allocated a Goldman Sachs' mentor throughout the 10-month MBA programme.
B: NGO's Grants
Proposals are being requested for innovative, collaborative research training programs that would contribute to the long-term goal of building sustainable research capacity in endemic infectious diseases at developing country institutions. Total amount to be awarded is between $600,000 and $1 million per year. Developing country institutions may also apply for one-year planning grants of up to $23,000 to support the development and submission of research training program proposals in the subsequent year.
The Monsanto Fund invites applications for its Africa grants to improve the Earth's ecosystem and the well-being of people. All grant requests must be for $25,000 or more.
