The International Rescue Committee currently seeks a Gender Based Violence (GBV). S/He is responsible for ensuring that the goals and objectives of the IRC program in Sudan are met.
S/He is expected to provide supervision and direction to the GBV team, with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring national staff to build their capacity. S/He is also expected to collaborate with the HIV/AIDS project staffs.

Requirements
- MA/S or equivalent in health (MPH), social science, humanities or other related degree preferred
- 2 years program management experience, including at least 1-2 years in a developing country with GBV practice
- Good interpersonal and team building skills
- Community education/training experience desirable
- Experience supervising staff, in a complex post conflict setting desirable
- Experience in grant management and proposal writing is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Fluency in English is desired, Arabic a plus
- Knowledge of US donors’ guidelines, policies and regulations,
especially DRL desirable
- Additional qualities: ability to multitask, handle pressure well, improvise, and a good team player
