Eligible candidates must be nationals of Kenya.
Knowledge of operations of commercial telecommunications services, voice/data communications techniques, and satellite communication systems.

Planning & Organizing
Develops clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies; identifies priority assignments; foresees risks and allows for contingencies when planning.
A first-level university degree in electronic, technical or communications engineering, computer technology or related field. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in routing or switching desirable.
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in telecommunications, network design, satellite and telephony communications.
Experience in the design, deployment, installation and commissioning of large scale IPT and IPVC systems at national or international level is highly desirable.
Knowledge of MGCP, SCCP, TCP/IP-H323 and other VOIP network protocols and design of LAN/WAN telecommunications equipment and systems desirable.
Experience in voice and data integration projects required.
Fluency in oral and written English is required.
Working knowledge of Kiswahili is desirable.
Working knowledge of other United Nations languages an asset.
