Technical Advisor, Nairobi

Population Services International(PSI) seeks experienced, dynamic candidates for the position of Technical Advisor for its Kenya program.

The Technical Advisor will be responsible for planning, supervising and implementing PSI/Kenya's Maternal and Child Health (MCH) social marketing activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Malaria communications in support of MOH drug transition to ACTs;

  • Possible introduction of PPT;
  • Assist in communication for the promotion of breastfeeding

  • Implementation of child health days at MOH clinics;

  • Work with relevant partners for promotion of cleaner stoves;

  • Develop and maintain relations with local authorities;

  • Donor relations including securing follow on funding for PPT and ITN programs;

  • Draft monthly, quarterly and annual program reports, and contribute to similar financial reports.


  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field;

  • Minimum two years program management experience in a developing country, preferably in a management capacity;

  • In-depth knowledge of social marketing;

  • General reproductive health expertise;

  • General expertise in behavior change communication;

  • Intermediate quantitative and qualitative research skills;

  • Exceptional and established diplomatic skills;

  • Team-building experience in a developing country;
