Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED)

Location: Sudan

Contract duration: 7 months (with possibility of extension)

Starting Date: ASAP

Qualifications Required

  • Educational background in Water and Sanitation ideally combined with health;
  • At least 2 years experience in managing and implementing;
  • Ability to coordinate and manage staff and project activities;
  • Familiarity with the aid system, and ability to understand donor and governmental requirements;
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills;
  • Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office;
  • Being a strong team player and adept at creating a strong team spirit;
  • Experience in war-affected areas and difficult living conditions, ideally in Africa;
  • Highly motivated and with a desire to work with local communities;
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people;
  • Ability to travel and work in difficult conditions and under pressure;
  • Excellent spoken and written English

    Conditions

    Salary: Depending on experience + per diem

    Benefits: All accommodation and travel expenses covered, including a one-week R&R every three months.

    Medical and life insurance also covered.
