PhD student position in Microbiology/Metabolic Engineering 

We are seeking a highly motivated student for a project oriented to understand one-carbon unit partitioning into assimilatory and dissimilatory metabolism in Methylobacterium by a systems level based approach.

Besides molecular microbiology as well as biochemical studies, the work will include in depth metabolome analysis based on mass spectrometry.

The project involves fundamental as well as applied aspects and is co-sponsored by an industrial partner.

The position is available immediately.
