Our research focuses on the regulation of the Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signalling molecule during development and congenital malformations of the central nervous system.
The project comprises the generation and developmental analysis of a conditional knock-out mouse targeting a Shh cis-regulatory long range brain enhancer.
The approach will include molecular, cellular and embryological techniques. The project is DFG funded and embedded in the Sonderforschungsbereich 665 (Developmental disturbances of the nervous system, http://www.charite.de/sfb665/).
We are looking for a young, team oriented scientist with outstanding qualifications.
We offer excellent scientific training conditions in the field of human genetics and developmental biology in an inspiring scientific surrounding.
