Location: Al Geinina, West Darfur

Definition Of The Function:

General description of the post:

  • Participates in the design of a plan to support and to supervise the Primary Health Centre and the mobile clinics
  • Is responsible for drugs and medical supplies management
  • Participates in Gender Based Violence protection and family protection programs
  • Supports the preventative activities within the primary healthcare system
  • Implements the project plan in PHC and mobile clinics with the medical co-ordinator; the national medical doctor and, the national Medical Assistant
  • Is responsible for the collection and analysis of data from PHC and mobile clinic, participate with the medical coordinator to the analysis of those data's.
  • Resume the field activities to the medical coordinator and discuss about the field problems to increase the CAM efficiency.
  • Supervises and trains nurses, Community Health Workers, in collaboration with the Ministry Of Health, and CAM staff

    Required Competencies

  • Good written and spoken English (essential), Arabic is a plus
  • Ability to live and work in an isolated area and in conditions of limited comfort
  • Ability to accept the possibility of insecurity in the project area and to accept the security rules
  • Previous overseas experience in humanitarian assistance programmes and basic computer skills (Word, Excel) are desirable
