Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - Sudan
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Contract duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Location: West Darfur, Sudan
Starting Date: November 1st
ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is a political and non-confessional international relief agency created in Afghanistan.
As of today, ACTED is active on 4 continents and in 16 countries.
Qualifications required
A) Essential
Relevant Master’s level degree (anthropology, development studies, humanitarian aid, sociology);
Proven previous experience in research, monitoring and evaluation;
Strong analytical skills;
Familiarity with the aid system, and ability to understand donor and governmental requirements;
Ability to work independently while being a strong team player and adept at creating a strong team spirit;
Ability to organize and plan effectively;
Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people;
Ability to travel and work in difficult conditions and under pressure;
Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office;
Excellent spoken and written English;
B) Desirable
Knowledge of Sudan or the region;
Previous overseas work experience with an aid organization;
Arabic language skills.
IV. Conditions
Salary: Intern status (600 USD/month)
