Students Partnership Worldwide (SPW) Tanzania is a youth-led, youth-focused NGO.

It harnesses the energy and talents of educated young volunteers between the ages of 18-25 years so that they can empower other young people to make more informed decisions about their health, and crucially, reduce their vulnerability to HIV/AIDS.

SPW Tanzania programmes perform an important role in the Tanzanian national response to HIV/AIDS, and are recognised as best practise by both the government and international community.

Job Description

Salary: GBP 10-12K pa

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and committed individual with experience working on international development programmes to gain management-level experience in an overseas posting.

The MEL Manager reports to the Senior Manager for Programmes Impact and is responsible for overseeing Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning functions across the organisation, as well as being a member of the SPW Tanzania Management Team.

The post's focus includes:

Development of MEL frameworks, systems and tools;

Overseeing implementation of MEL within the organisation Writing internal evaluation reports and ensuring their dissemination both internally and externally Building capacity for MEL among staff and volunteers.

The successful candidate will have experience of working on programmatic monitoring and evaluation ideally in the field of sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS.

They will have 3 years' work experience in an NGO environment and have experience of overseeing monitoring and reporting requirements to major donors.

They should also have good a understanding of research methods and data analysis.

Willingness to work in an inter-cultural environment and to learn Swahili are essential.
