Students for International Change (SIC) is a non-governmental
organization working to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS in northern
Tanzania, while offering valuable service-learning experience to
students in health and development fields.
SIC is a young, dynamic organization using innovative methods to combat HIV in one of the hardest-hit countries in the world.
An exciting opportunity is available to lead SIC Tanzania through the next two years of our development.
We are seeking a highly qualified public health professional to take on the role of Managing Director for our programs in Tanzania.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in Public Health or a related field;
At least two years' work experience in public health, ideally in HIV/AIDS;
Proof of success in prior leadership or management roles;
Experience working in resource-limited settings;
Understanding of program development and ability to conceptualize programmatic strategy;
Strong English language skills, both oral and written;
Competence in Swahili speaking and writing.
Location: Based in Arusha, Tanzania
Dates: Two-year contract to begin in April.
Extensions possible based on performance.
Compensation: Compensation is competitive and will depend on experience.
