Emerging infectious diseases of domestic animals, National Centre for Zoonosis Research

Stipend: £17,000 p.a. (tax exempt) for 1 year

This MPhil studentship (12 months with possibility of converting to a 3 year PhD) provides an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary DEFRA-funded group studying the risk factors for emerging infectious diseases of domestic animals.

The successful applicant will help establish a database of emerging diseases, as part of a team of veterinarians, epidemiologists, statisticians and computer scientists.

A biological science degree is required and computer database/GIS/bioinformatics experience desirable.
