The potential and limits of Corporate Social Responsibility Lancashire Business School - Department of Journalism University of Central Lancashire

A full-time MPhil/PhD research studentship is available in the above Department.

The studentship commences 1 July and is tenable up to three years (subject to satisfactory progress).

The studentship will cover the cost of tuition fees and pay a maintenance grant (currently £12,300 per annum).

Applications are welcome from UK/EU and overseas applicants. Applicants should hold a minimum of an upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.

This project critically examines the content and context of contemporary understandings of Corporate Social Responsibility and locates them within the extant body of research dealing with business-society relations, in particular the concept of business legitimacy.

Applicants will be required to submit a two-page outline research proposal for their research degree, AND a sample of their written work taken from their previous higher education. (eg chapter from dissertation, or essay) along with their completed application form
