Human Settlements Officer

Location: Nairobi, Kenya.

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-HABITAT, is the agency for human settlements. The post is located in the Urban Development Branch (UDB), Global Division.

Qualifications:

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in any of the following areas: political, economic, social or philosophical sciences, preferably in combination with international relations or diplomatic studies.

A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in urban planning and management issues, at least three at the international level.

Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other UN languages would be an advantage.
