Person Specification


- Primary degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or Water & Sanitation

- Technical qualification in Public health - preferably secondary degree

- 5 year's relevant overseas experience in a protracted emergency context

- Track record in national staff capacity building/training and management


- Experience in CTC

- Knowledge of Rural Water Systems

- Knowledge of Primary Health Care issues and standards

- Experience of work in Sudan / horn of Africa region

- Experience of livelihoods or sanitation/hygiene programme implementation

- Experience of working in a refugee/IDP camp setting

Special Skills, Aptitude or Personality Requirements:

- Cross cultural awareness and sensitivity

- Empathy with Concern’s goals and a commitment to capacity building, protection and participation

- Good communication and training / capacity building skills

- Good organisation and management skills including monitoring and evaluation

- Experience of conducting and analysing nutrition surveys

- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
