Davis and Lyons Bursaries in Music - City University, London
The Department of Music is internationally-renowned as a centre of research and teaching excellence in composition (acoustic and electroacoustic), musicology, ethnomusicology, performance, and music technology, receiving the highest possible rating in the UK Research Assessment Exercise 2001 (5*).
There are two new scholarship schemes for students beginning their postgraduate studies in Music in 2007-2008.
The Davis and Lyons Bursaries in Music:
5 awards of £1,000 each
These bursaries are open to all students (UK/EU and Overseas, full-time and part-time) beginning any postgraduate programme in Music at City (MA, MSc, MMA-DMA, MPhil-PhD) in 2007-2008.
Applications will be assessed according to the following criteria:
marks achieved in undergraduate and (where applicable) postgraduate degrees
demonstrable potential to succeed in the postgraduate programme in question
other markers of esteem (prizes etc.) and/or evidence of significant professional experience
Students must complete the application procedure for a postgraduate degree:

and once submitted must inform in writing the Postgraduate Administrator, Carsten Kuljurgis of their intention to be considered.
