A: Scholarships

The World Council of Churches Scholarships Programme is open to all women and men, lay and ordained. Preference is given to candidates from a developing country, and to those who have not previously studied outside their home country.

University College Dublin, Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School offers a range of scholarships to candidates applying for the full-time MBA programme. The aims of the scholarships are to attract the world’s best MBA students and to lower barriers to entry for those who may require financial assistance.

Excellent students from Non-EU-Countries are granted Erasmus Mundus Masters in Journalism and Media Scholarships by the European Commission. Highly qualified students from a wide range of countries are admitted for this programme.

Fahamu's AU Monitor initiative is seeking young African journalism professionals and students for a three week internship. For interns coming from outside of Ethiopia, accommodation will be provided. Limited funding for travel to/from Addis Ababa is available.

Based on the successful Master examination, the three universities will award the joint degree “Master of Science” (M.Sc.) with the adjunct “in Geospatial Technologies”. The Masters Program will start each year in the fall/winter semester. All courses will be provided in English language. The study program will start each year in the fall/winter semester. There is scholarship of around 35,000 Euro in total for Non-EU applicants. To be awarded the MSC Scholarship, the entry requirement is at least a 2.1 BSc degree or equivalent. This is a joint MSc programme between University of Reading(UoR), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki(AUTh), University Carlos III Madrid (UC3M) and Trinity College Dublin.

Pilot International Foundation Scholarships are offered to undergraduate and graduate students. As an International student, you need to look for a Pilot Club and join before making an application.

International students are eligible for funding from the Hayek Fund for Scholars. Students of any university may apply for this fund. The Hayek Fund for Scholars makes strategic awards of up to $1,000 to graduate students and untenured faculty members for career-enhancing activities.

The Roothbert Fund scholarships Program makes grants for undergraduate or graduate study at accredited colleges or universities. Scholarships may only be applied to study at an accredited institution based in the United States.

Intenational Affairs grants 30-40 competitive, partial tuition-waiver scholarships to international students each year. Students will be required to give presentations about their home country to classes at the University of Oregon, to local schools, or to community groups.

The JJ/WBGSP scholarship provides annual awards to cover the cost of completing a master's degree or its equivalent. The Scholarship covers economy class air travel between the home country and the host university at the start of the study program and one return journey following the end of the overall scholarship period.

The Josephine de Karman Fellowship Trust awards ten (10) fellowships, $16,000 for graduate students or $8,000 for undergraduate students every year. International students are eligible for Josephine de Kármán Fellowships.

The University of Trento (Italy), the RWTH Aachen University (Germany), and the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) offer a two year Joint Master’s Programme, named European Master in Informatics. 20 scholarships will be offered for students who are residents of countries outside the European Union. The amount of the scholarship is € 21.000 per year.

One PhD position and a stipend for one Research Assistant are available in the Medical Theoretical Center in TU Dresden in the fields of “Pluripotency and Germ Stem Cells” and “Meiotic chromosome behaviour in mammals”. Applications are currently accepted and positions will be filled as soon as suitable candidates are found.

A full-time postdoc researcher position in the area of Wireless Mesh Networking is available at CREATE-NET. The candidate must have an excellent academic and publication record; the ability to work in team is also essential.
