A: Scholarships

  • International Fellowships Programme

    IFP actively seeks candidates from social groups and communities that lack systematic access to higher education. Is fully funded covering tuition, stipend, travel and insurance for the beneficiary. Eligibility includes residency or African citizenship.

  • Olive Stone Law School Scholarships

    A scholarship fund has been established at London School of Economics. The fund offers scholarships of a sufficient value to enable female students of 25 years and over who would not otherwise be able to do so to study at the Olive Stone Law School.

  • NNIA Scholarship Program

    The purpose of the programme is to support a candidate(s) in the acquisition of a postgraduate degree at the Master's level. The annual number of awards and the extent thereof is subject to the availability of funds.

  • Women Trust Scholarships

    The Women's Trust identifies girls who are very bright but very poor and pay for their education in Ghana. Education costs, school uniforms, textbooks and learning materials, as well as school fees and any taxes that may be levied during the year for building projects or special programs are covered.

  • Elizabeth Nuffield Educational Trust Grants

    Elizabeth Nuffield Educational Trust Grants are open to women between the ages of 21 and 50. Support is given to students studying for a first degree in Administration, Business and Secretarial, Childcare, Hotel and Catering, Leisure and Sport, Humanities, Languages, Law, Medicine and Health, Science and Technology, Social Care and Social Work, Social Sciences, Teacher Training.

  • Phenomena Writing Scholarship

    This scholarship is for someone with very good writing potential who wants to learn how to transmit positive energy through words, to help people become healthy, happy, peaceful and successful. This scholarship is available to all students Worldwide.

  • British Federation of Women Graduates Foundation Grants

    There are about 12 different British Federation of Women Graduates Foundation Grants and scholarships. Most awards are open to any field of study. Typically, awards will range up to £3000. You are eligible to apply for a BFWG Scholarship or Award, regardless of nationality. There is no upper age limit.

  • Masters Program in International Political Economy at Jacobs University Bremen - Germany

    The Master’s Program is designed for an international student. Financial assistance may be made available to master’s students and doctoral candidates. Students may apply for financial assistance at the same time as they apply for admission to a Graduate Degree Program.

  • Nestle Nutrition International Scholarship

    This international scholarship programme will enable a successful candidate to acquire additional skills in a defined field of expertise, promote intra and inter-institutional exchange as well as develop training and research networks. Successful candidates receive a fixed amount of CHF 1500/month for a maximum period of 12 months.

  • International Young Eco Hero Awards

    Action For Nature presents the International Young Eco-Hero Awards to recognize the individual accomplishments of young people. Action For Nature will award cash prizes to young Eco-Heroes for their outstanding accomplishments in environmental advocacy, environmental health, research, or protection of the natural world.

  • Globe Business College Munich Scholarship Programme

    The scholarship will be awarded once a year and is offered in association with AidConnect. The amount awarded will be equivalent to one semester’s tuition. Upon selection of a scholarship recipient, the winning essay will be published on the AidConnect website.

  • Marjorie Dean Financial Journalism Foundation Studentships

    Every year the Trustees plan to make awards available to students wishing to obtain financial assistance in pursuing a postgraduate course in economics or a similar subject. The Foundation offers one or two studentships, worth roughly £10,000 each.

  • The Lady Davis Fellowship Trust

    Lady Davis Fellowships are awarded at the Hebrew University and Technion. These fellowships are open to candidates of every race, creed, nationality and sex. Since the application procedures, value of the Fellowships, deadlines etc. are different for the Hebrew University and for the Technion, you may apply to both the Hebrew University and to the Technion.

  • Airey Neave Trust

    This trust gives grants to refugees undertaking postgraduate studies in the UK, primarily those who are doing a part time degree and not in the first year of study. Applicants must have good oral and written English, have some work experience, and would ideally be engaged in part time work to help fund themselves.

  • World Library and Information Congress Grants

    Bibliomondialis will offer grants to attend the IFLA 2008 Conference in Quebec. Grants will be offered to delegates from developing countries.

  • Jean Claude Reynal Scholarship

    The Jean-Claude Reynal Foundation offers an annual scholarship of 10,000 euros to enable a young artist, who works directly on paper, to travel to a country of his/her choice for a period of 6 months maximum.

  • Masters and PhD Scholarships

    The scholarship provides financial and civic educational support for high potential scholars from Africa. Academic excellence, a university degree with very good results are some of the requirements.

  • MS and PhD Fellowships at Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi - UAE

    The Petroleum Institute (PI) is seeking applications from highly qualified candidates who are interested in pursuing graduate studies leading to Masters and Ph.D. degrees. Candidates with excellent academic credentials are invited to apply.

  • The Nike Changemakers Competition

    The competition is open to all types of organizations (charitable organizations, private companies, or public entities) from all countries. Entries should be beyond the stage of idea, concept, or research, and, at a minimum, be at the demonstration stage and indicate success.

  • Highway Africa Awards

    The awards are given annually at the Highway Africa Conference to recognise and promote the creative, innovative and appropriate use of new media technology in Africa. Judges are looking for innovative applications of New Media in African journalism and the media.

  • Nieman Fellowships

    Nieman Fellowships for Study at Harvard University are awarded annually. For Nieman Fellowships there is no age limit. There are no academic prerequisites. No college degree is required.

  • Call for Proposals - Accessing Patented Knowledge for Innovation

    This is a call for proposals on how developing countries can access technologies and information contained in existing patents to enhance innovative research at the national level. Six grants of approximately $75,000 Canadian will be made. Funding is limited to developing country institutions.

  • Faculty for the Future program grants

    The goal of Faculty for the Future is to support role models and facilitate gender balance in science and engineering faculties at key universities in emerging economies. Most of the Faculty for the Future grants focuses on those critical first two years which in most cases prove difficult for scholars to acquire funds.

  • Nestle Foundation International Fellowship

    The Nestlé Foundation, through the Nestle nutrition In Africa (NNIA), will accept applications for research funding. Funded projects are usually of one to three-year duration. Studies in other areas of human nutrition research may also be considered, as long as they are dealing with problems of malnutrition in low- and middle-income countries according to recent World Bank classifications.

  • International Dissertation Research Fellowships

    The International Dissertation Research Fellowships program supports full-time graduate students. Fifty fellowships of approximately $20,000 each are awarded. Fellowships will provide support for nine to twelve months.

  • European Master of Research on Information and Communication Technologies

    This is the call for applications to the Erasmus-Mundus student scholarships for MERIT – the European Master of Research on Information and Communication Technologies. Applicants should qualify as “third-country nationals”.

  • Energy Research Bursaries

    The South African National Energy Research Institute (Pty) Ltd, (Saneri) hereby invites applications for bursaries from interested post-graduate researchers. Bursary applications must be submitted by the students in their personal capaicity.

  • Research Capacity Strengthening in Africa grants

    In order to enhance institutional capacity to undertake research, the Wellcome Trust will provide funding to support the creation of consortia and networks; both between higher education institutes (HEIs) and research institutes located within Africa, and between these institutions and UK HEIs. Institutions outside the UK and Africa may also be members of consortia.

  • International Research Ethics Education and Curriculum Development Award

    The purpose of the award is to develop masters level curricula and provide educational opportunities for developing country academics, researchers and health professionals in ethics related to performing research involving human subjects in international resource poor settings. Any individual with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to develop and carry out a comprehensive curriculum development and educational program in international research ethics is invited to work with their institution to develop an application for support.

  • Oxford fellowship

    The Reuters Foundation Fellowship Programme offers academic guidance for experienced journalists wishing to undertake research projects on a variety of subjects. There are various Organized activities; lectures, seminars, study trips and social functions.

  • Four year PhD Studentship Programmes

    The Wellcome Trust's Four-year PhD Studentship Programmes are a flagship scheme aimed at supporting the most promising students to undertake in depth postgraduate training. The scheme provides a four-year stipend.

  • PhD Studentships in the Centre for Digital Citizenships, University of Leeds, UK

    As part of the University’s strategic commitment to the Centre for Digital Citizenship two PhD full fee scholarships are being offered. International students specifically from Africa may also apply.

  • Fully Funded Prize PhD Studentships, Scottish Universities Physics Alliance - UK

    The Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA) is offering up to 8 fully funded PhD studentships for outstanding students from anywhere in the world. The prize studentships is normally open for applications from Oct, with a deadline for submission of 31 January each year.

  • PhD and MSc Scholarships in Hydroinformatic, UNESCO - The Netherlands

    The Hydroinformatics course aims at enriching traditional engineering practice by introducing innovative approaches in order to open up for the participants much broader prospective. The programme will cover tuition fee and living cost.

  • PhD Positions in Rehabilitation Robotics, University of Bremen - Germany

    Applications are invited for various PhD Positions in Rehabilitation Robotics, Institute of Automation, University of Bremen - Germany. The ideal candidate has high experience in object-oriented programming in C++ and modelling with UML.

  • PhD Position in Economics, University of Lugano - Switzerland

    The University of Lugano and the Institute for Economic Research invite applications for a PhD position in Economics. Applicants should be research oriented and have the desire to pursue an academic career.

  • PhD Studentship in Evaluating Leadership Development, Cranfield University - UK

    Cranfield University's Defence College of Management and Technology (DCMT) invites applications for a 36 month PhD / MPhil studentship. The studentship will cover tuition fees to home/EU level, and will provide a stipend, currently GBP 15,000.
