Qualified candidates are invited to apply for the position of Project Officer, Emergency based in Baidoa, Somalia.

The successful candidate will be offered a Temporary Fixed Term Appointment for 1 year.

Further extensions will be subject to office priorities, satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Qualifications and experience:

• Advanced university degree in International Relations, Health, Nutrition, Social Sciences or other related field. Specialized training in conflict resolution is an asset.

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in programe formulation, planning, management and evaluation, some of which should be in emergency programme management and operations.

• Fluency in English and another UN language. Knowledge of the language of the duty station is desirable. Key Competencies required:
