PhD Studentships in Mathematics and Statisitics, University of Kent - UK

Applications are invited for PhD Studentships in Mathematics and Statisitics at University of Kent, UK for the academic year.

These Studentships cover tuition fees at the Home/EU rate and a stipend at the basic Research Council rate, which is currently 12,600 pounds per annum.

The studentships are for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Recipients of these studentships may be required to do some teaching as part of the terms of the studentship.

The studentships are open to candidates applying to the PhD programme in Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Pure Mathematics.

Applicants must have a good Honours degree (either first or upper second class) or a Masters degree, in a relevant subject.

Please indicate in your PhD application that you wish to be considered for available studentships.

It is not necessary to provide a detailed research proposal but applications should include a research topic.
