OneVoice - Finance Manager

OneVoice South Africa is a vibrant non-governmental organisation, which uses creative ways of actively involving young people in HIV and AIDS prevention.

It is currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager to work within the Finance Department.


The successful applicant would be required to fulfill the following primary functions in a professional manner and with technical excellence:

  • Maintain financial and accounting records

  • Prepare and manage monthly reporting

  • Preparation of financial statements

  • Cash flow projections and budget management

  • Maintain all Financial and HR policies and procedures

  • Monitor internal control systems

  • Prepare reconciliations

  • Co-ordinate and manage audit process for the organisation

  • Prepare, manage and report on programme budgets

  • Donor reporting


    Suitable candidates will need to satisfy the following requirements:

  • A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Financial Management/Auditing

  • 3 years of management experience in a Finance Department

  • Knowledge of fund accounting, including reporting requirements to agencies, is an advantage

  • Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft packages (Word and Excel)

  • Excellent knowledge of Pastel Accounting

  • Self-motivator, pro-active, problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of the South African tax system

  • HR administration management experience is an advantage

  • Hands-on supervisory skills is an advantage

  • Project management skills is an advantage

  • Previous experience of working within an non-profit environment is an advantage

  • A keen interest in HIV and AIDS prevention and youth development.
