Qualifications And Experience Required

  • Advanced degree in demography – PhD preferable or equivalent professional experience
  • 7 to 10 years professional experience in the field of social and demographic data collection, processing and analysis, preferably in a Sub-Saharan African country
  • Experience participating in the planning and the implementation of at least one Population and Housing Census in a Sub-Saharan African country
  • At least one experience as a Chief Technical Adviser for a Population and Housing Census
  • Proficiency in current office software applications and excellent proficiency in at least one current data-processing and analysis software
  • Fluency in oral and written English

    Standards Of Work:

    The Chief Technical Adviser will conform to the standards of work, payments and procedures of the Swaziland Government, of the United Nations, in particular UNDP and UNFPA, as well as of the development partners involved in the Census.

    He/She will regularly provide feedback on the progress in the implementation of the census to all stakeholders.
