9. NPSC Manager Corporate Support Services Jobs in Kenya


Job Summary:
Reporting to the Commission Secretary/Chief Executive Officer through the Director Corporate Support Services, the Manager Corporate Support Services will be responsible in assisting coordinating administrative
services including Human Resource, Finance, Procurement, Information, Administration, Research, Logistics and related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Managerial
  • Participate in the development, interpretation and execution of administrative policies, standards and procedures for the institution.
  • Participate in the development, interpretation and execution of guidelines and manuals for the provision of effective administrative services.
  • Allocate duties, supervise and appraise senior office assistant and office assistant.

    Operational
  • Ensure that administrative support services respond effectively to the needs of the user departments. Provision of equipment, stationery, catering services for
    the Commission.
  • Request of supplies and other items required by the departments in the eprocurement system.
  • Organize and booking venues for Commission meetings, workshops and conferences.
  • Arrange air travel, accommodation and transport for commissioners and staff when travelling out of office.
  • Provide input into the budgeting process.

    Qualifications Knowledge and skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences.
  • Senior Management Course.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of budgeting.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge of professional standards.
  • Communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
  • Ten (10) years of service, of which three (3) should be in a comparable position from a reputable organization.

    10. NPSC Manager Accounts Jobs in Kenya

    Job Summary:
    Reporting to the Commission Secretary/Chief Executive Officer through the Director Corporate Support Services, the Manager Accounts will provide effective & efficient financial services and ensure maintenance of
    complete and reliable accounting records and financial information.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Managerial
  • Develop a unit work plan to facilitate with the implementation of the section strategy on budget control, to ensure the strategy is delivered under the set timelines and quality standards.
  • Prepare the department activity budget for the division, and monitor the implementation to ensure efficiency in the utilization of the commission resources.
  • Implement the financial accounting and reporting policies and procedures within the division, to ensure alignment of the department objectives with the overall Commission strategy.
  • Implement financial controls and safeguards and ensure they are in place, to maintain the integrity of accounting systems.

    Operational
  • Implement appropriate mechanisms to control the Commission’s exposure and enforce accounting procedures, to be in line with the
    government regulations and standards.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports for the Division and forward for approval, to ensure informed decisions are made within the Commission in a timely manner.
  • Authorize payment of suppliers, imprest and miscellaneous payments as per the allocation summary, to ensure payments are in line with the set standards and regulations of the division.
  • Validate timely and accurate administration of all tax and statutory compliance issues and effective management of payroll, to assist in the timely remittance in accordance to the government regulations and standards.
  • Monitor the cash flow of the commission by checking the cashbook, to ensure accurate entries are made to avoid errors and ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.
  • Oversee all accounting services to ensure streamlined accounting process across the Commission, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.
  • Lead the development and performance management of staff that report to the position to ensure the achievement of both individual and commission goals.
  • Authorize allocation summary of funded activities and highlight the expenditure, to ensure informed decision making by management.
  • Maintain financial assets and liabilities to ensure proper management of resources.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audits to ensure compliance of accounting standards.
  • Central Bank of Kenya authorizer and signatory in the systems.
  • Custodian of accounts documents to ensure safe keeping and security.
  • Provide input into the budgeting process.

    Qualifications Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) finalist.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of professional accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge of budgeting.

  • Ability to work under pressure.
