Short Courses Scholarships

During the course of each year, the Good Governance Programme (GGP) presents a series of specialised short courses, dealing with a range of relevant topics pertinent to good governance.

Human Rights in Africa:

The course focuses on regional human rights norms and its application in Africa.

Good Governance General Course:

Emphasis is placed on the linkage between human rights, public administration and effective and responsible service delivery.

Management of Human Rights Institutions:

The objective of the course is to analyse the existing legal framework, government policies and social structures in place for the prevention, care and management of HIV/AIDS.

Management of HIV/AIDS:

The objective of the course is to analyse the existing legal framework, government policies and social structures in place for the prevention, care and management of HIV/AIDS.

Gender Equality:

The latest developments with regard to gender equality and the implications thereof for the women of Africa are examined in this course.

International Humanitarian Law:

Principles of humanitarian law essential to good governance are dealt with in this course.

International Criminal Prosecutions:

The focus of the course is on the management and prosecution of international criminal activities and the relevance of their prosecution within Africa.

Note: For all the above courses, a limited number of scholarships are available.

Scholarships do not include airfare and participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and the cost thereof.
