Our guests are always at home at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts – and their In Room Dining experience is no exception. As an Order Taker providing warm service, efficiency and knowledge of our menu offerings, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of every memorable meal.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
  • Maintain proper telephone etiquette at all times
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists
  • Record guest orders accurately and efficiently while honoring all special requests
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:
  • Previous service experience an asset
  • Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

    Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Constant sitting and standing throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

    28. Mini Bar Attendant

    Your organization and service skills as a Mini Bar Attendant will ensure our guests enjoy an appetizing in room selection of snack and beverage items.

    Summary of Responsibilities:
    Reporting to the Food & Beverage Service Manager

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Collect in-house guest and arrival lists for the day
  • Record any mini-bar items used to ensure accuracy in billing
  • Ensure in room service-ware items are clean and as per standards
  • Restock all mini-bar items in fridge prior to guests’ arrival and during their stay
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:
  • Previous service experience an asset
  • Previous Point of Sale System experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable

  • Responsible for supervision of other hostesses and overall guest relations at the restaurants

    30. Pastry Sous Chef

    Summary of Responsibilities:
    Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
  • Lead and supervise the quantity of the Pastry department, as well as coordinate the production as it relates to banquet and restaurant functions
  • Conduct daily shift briefings to Colleagues in absence of Executive Pastry Chef
  • Assist in the development of new dessert, pastry and bread products
  • Follow payroll costs and productivity within budgeted guidelines
  • Provide training for new Pastry Colleagues
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:
  • Previous leadership experience in a Pastry production required
  • Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline required
  • Working knowledge of sugar work/chocolate skills an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
