12. KASNEB Administrative Assistant - Safety and Security Jobs in Kenya - Job Level 7 (1 Post) - Ref: HCA/ADM/AAISS/2/2017


Overall purpose
The Administrative Assistant I, Safety and Security will be responsible for implementing KASNEB security procedures and operational plan.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Officer, Safety and Security the Administrative Assistant I, Safety and Security will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring smooth shift handover, relief and replacement of the contracted security guards.
  • Supporting the assessment of security conditions at KASNEB Towers including collecting, interpreting and analysing routine security information.
  • Regularly monitoring security situation, highlighting and escalating any potential security hazard or recurring incidences.
  • Updating staff on emerging security risks and support establishment of controls to mitigate risks.
  • Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of operational emergency communication systems and other security devices.
  • Working closely with national police service and other relevant local or government authorities on matters concerning security as appropriate.
  • Carrying out periodic inspection and servicing of firefighting equipment.
  • Ensuring appropriate inspection of the log of entry and exit of personnel, materials, vehicles.
  • Undertaking the day to day supervision of outsourced security personnel.
  • Ensuring risk management in the area of operation.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System in the area of operation.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Academic/Professional Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Criminology or Investigations or other related discipline from a recognised university.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of security communication equipment.
  • Excellent first aid and fire-fighting skills.
  • A valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Experience in the security forces is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in safety and security management in a large organisation and two (2) years relevant experience in safety
    and security management for serving officers.

    Overall purpose
    The Administrative Assistant I, Marketing will be responsible for implementing the marketing plan.

    Key duties and responsibilities:
    Reporting to the Manager, Marketing the Administrative
    Assistant I, Marketing will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in the preparation/development and implementation of the marketing plan.
  • Assisting in carrying out market surveys and developing market need analysis.
  • Assisting in preparation of the marketing budget.
  • Assisting in preparation and implementation of the KASNEB country and county strategies.
  • Preparing and implementing marketing programmes.
  • Preparing briefs for market intelligence reports.
  • Engaging with customers on social media against a dedicated marketing agenda.
  • Coordinating the production and distribution of marketing and promotional materials.
  • Ensuring risk management in the area of operation.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System in the area of operation.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Academic/Professional Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies or related discipline from a recognised university.
  • A relevant professional qualification in marketing, communication or related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in middle management in a large organisation and two (2) years relevant experience for serving members of staff.

  • Have knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
