Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and Risk

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting the risk management process through periodic independent reviews of the risk management practices and procedures.
  • Assisting in identifying and assessing risks associated with the current and proposed future business activities, including new products, new business relationships and any extension of operations.
  • Conducting awareness programmes on enterprise risk management.
  • Performing regular and comprehensive risk and control assessments and preparing reports on the results on a regular basis.
  • Following up on the implementation of management actions to mitigate against identified risks.
  • Continuously reviewing and recommending improvements to the risk management policy and framework.
  • Collating reports from Divisions and Units for presentation to the Risk Management Committee.
  • Identifying best practices from within or from external sources and sharing these practices with management.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System in the area of operation.
  • Coordinating the implementation of the Business Continuity Plan at KASNEB.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in the business related field from a recognised university
  • CPA qualification.
  • Member in good standing of ICPAK.
  • Certification in risk management or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of four (4)years relevant experience in middle level management in risk management in a large organisation and two(2)years relevant experience in risk management for serving officers.

  • Have practical experience in use of computer audit tools.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of financial management and accounting standards.
  • Be knowledgeable on computerised financial/accounting applications.
  • Be honest, trustworthy and possess a high degree of personal integrity and professionalism.
  • Have demonstrated leadership qualities and management capability for responsibilities at this level.
  • Have demonstrated leadership qualities and management capability for responsibilities at this level.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with varied stakeholders.
  • Be customer centric.
  • Demonstrate sound judgement, excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Be computer literate.
  • Satisfy the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

    The Marketing Officer will be responsible for assisting the implementation of the KASNEB marketing plan in liaison with
    the Manager, Marketing.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting in carrying out surveys and market needs analysis.
  • Compiling market intelligence reports.
  • Assisting in preparation and implementation of the marketing strategies and programmes.
  • Preparing briefs for marketing activities.
  • Preparing and submitting progress reports on marketing activities.
  • Assisting in the production, design and execution of promotional materials and activities.
  • Organising and attending marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
  • Contributing to the implementation of e-marketing campaigns
  • Coordinating the distribution of promotional materials.
  • Liaising with stakeholders/strategic partners.
  • Ensuring risk management within the area of operation.
  • Ensuring the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System in the area of operation.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Service or related disciplines from a recognised university.
  • Diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Service or related disciplines from a recognised institution.
  • Membership in good standing of a relevant professional body.
  • A minimum of four (4) years relevant experience in middle level management in marketing in a large organisation and two (2) years relevant experience as Administrative Assistant I, Marketing for serving officers.
