The Adam Smith Research Foundation has been established to promote and sustain research within the UK, European and international arenas.
The Foundation promotes the engagement of staff in key policy debates and in shaping policy for the future.
It provides the environment in which to foster further links between the Faculty's disciplines and supports the development of interdisciplinary research both within and beyond the University.
The Foundation is offering one PhD Scholarship, covering full fees and maintenance (Home/EU or Overseas), within five research themes:
Legal & Political Thought
Macroeconomics, Business & Finance
People, Places & Change
Public Policy, Governance & Social Justice
Work, Ethics & Technology.
The PhD may be held in any of these Faculty's Departments:
Accounting & Finance; Central & East European Studies; Centre for Drug Misuse Research; Economic & Social History; Economics; School of Law; Management; Politics; Sociology, Anthropology & Applied Social Sciences; Urban Studies.
