World Food Programme Expressions of Interest in UgandaDescription of the Requirement:
The United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) in Kampala, Uganda seeks interested business firms and organisations registered in Uganda to purchase commodities unfit for human consumption but usable for animal feed at Kampala and Tororo warehouses and; any other locations within the country.
The stocks of commodities shall comprise of assorted commodities of food components in varying quantities that are from time to time rendered unfit during transport and handling. These stocks are to be offered for salvage sale on "as is where is" basis.
It will be the sole responsibility of the prospective buyer to establish fitness for animal consumption or any other non-market use.
This EOI does not constitute a solicitation.
WFP reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.
WFP also reserves the right not to invite a firm that submitted an EDI, thus responding to this EDI does not automatically guarantee that the business firm/organisation will be considered for receipt of the solicitation if-and-when-issued.
Documentation to Submit With the EOI:
Business firms and organisations interested in participating in the planned solicitation process should forward their E01 to UNWFP by hand delivery as indicated below.
To be deemed eligible for the pre-qualification process, firms are required to submit all the below listed documents within the E01: A letter of interest.
An original letter of support from the firm's/organisation principal financial banker outlining the firm's/organisation's financial status and credibility.
If such a letter is issued in the name of an individual (guarantor) related to the firm/organisation, clearly state the guarantors exact position in the firm/organisation and/or other links with the firm/organisation.
Business firm's/organisation Audited Financial Statements for the past two years (2016 and 2017) or expressed intention to provide such statements within one month.
Business firm's/organisation Certificate of Incorporation or registration 5. Where applicable; letters of reference from at least two existing clients.
How to Apply
The above documents should be submitted clearly labelled "Request for Expression of Interest to Purchase Commodities Unfit for Human Consumption – E01 - F.01.03.7993" and to be deposited in the tender box at the reception of World Food Programme, Uganda Country office, Plot 17/19, Clement Hill Road, Kampala.
Deadline for submission is 12:00 PM local time on 4th January 2019.
