St. Joseph’s Boys High School Kitale Posts Good Results in the KCSE Exams

St Joseph produces top scorer in Trans Nzoia county!


St Joseph’s Boys, a national school, produced the top Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam candidate in Trans Nzoia County with an A of 82 points.

James Muhoho Chege scored an A- in English, Kiswahili A-, Maths A, Biology A-, Geography A, Chemistry A, Physics A and CRE A.

School principal Peter Obwogo said the institution had registered 477 candidates.

Over 50 of the candidates scored A-.

Last year, the school’s leading student had an A-.

There were celebrations at the institution after the KCSE results were announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

Mr Obwogo led parents and teachers in song and dance after it emerged the school had produced the best student in the county.

“We thank God for the results. We expected better performance because our students were determined to excel,” said Obwogo.

The Principal Peter Obwogo revealed they also had 70 B+, 57 C+, 1C plain, and the lowest grade was a C-. He said the school’s performance has improved given that last year they had no A grade, and they had 16 A-.

St Brigid’s Girls, a national school, posted 18 A-, with the best student Nouvelle Oloo scoring 79 points. 36 students scored B+.
