Sponsorship for Students in the Slums of Freetown

I went to Sierra Loene for 3 months. I lived in the slums and volunteered at the West End Clinic with Dr. Bisi COle. Since that time I have started a program and sponsor 17 students. I do food drops, pay tutions, and medical fees. I have sent over $30,000, and have bought land and want to build a library/community center.

I am a single mother and RN in Maryland USA. I need help paying their school fees and books. I have 10 people on my wait list.

I recently was awarded the most impressive donar award from the non profit Save Sierra Leone Foundation.

All the students I picked were highly malnourished and at high risk for drop out. My first student Effau, hadn't been in school in 2 years, she is now #6 in her class.

My program mentors and sets up a weekly meeting so that they can get tutored.
