MDF Training & Consultancy Team leader and International Long-term Expert Jobs in Uganda


MDF is a Training and Consultancy organisation with over 30 years of experience in providing management training, advisory and evaluation services worldwide.

This way we empower individuals, organisations and networks to increase their positive social impact!

We have been short-listed for a 3-year capacity development project to strengthen and improve the capacity and efficiency of civil society in Uganda.

To strengthen are team, we our now sourcing for an International Long-term Expert (ILTE) in Kampala.

Key tasks of the ILTE include providing advisory in the following fields:

  • Development of standardized training curricula in close collaboration with the Civil Society in Uganda Support Programme team and Ugandan Civil Society Organisation (s) (CUSP).
  • Training of trainers of the applicants local / regional partner in holding the standardized trainings as well as innovative training and teaching methods.
  • Backstopping and quality control of trainings delivered by its local / regional partner organisation, especially with regards to innovate training methods.

    Project Management Function:

  • Management of the consulting team in line with the Programme’s approaches and strategies
  • Participation in the management and monitoring of the overall CUSP Programme
  • Report bi-annually and quarterly on implementation progress to CUSP Programme Coordinator.

    Key qualifications of the ILTE:

  • Advanced university degree (mandatory); preferably in education, pedagogics or curriculum development
  • Previous experience with GIZ would be an added advantage
  • Involvement in at least three projects showing that the expert has profound knowledge on and experience in development of training materials and training curriculum
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in capacity development of training institutions (mandatory)
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in capacity development of CSOs (mandatory)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the management of projects / programmes in development cooperation (Leadership experience/Management).
