KCSE Results Cancelled - Chavakali High School

KCSE Results Chavakali Boys’ High School; ONLY four candidates out of the 317 in Chavakali Boys’ High School in last year’s KCSE exam results received full results.

Principal Kahi Indimuli said 313 candidates had ‘Y’ in English and Mathematics.

The ‘Y’ in the exam results means cancellation.

“A letter from the Kenya National Examinations Council indicated the Ys were because of collusion,” he told the Star on the phone yesterday.

He said if the reason for cancellation was valid, even the four would not have their results.

“What surprised me was the issue of English because that has been our strongpoint given the way students performed in internal mocks,” Indimuli said.

He is the deputy chairman of the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association.

Indimuli said a school board meeting will be held on Tuesday.

He said he will meet the students whose results were cancelled together with their parents.

Indimuli was yesterday collecting data on performance of the 2014 class to show that they have been consistent.

“To the best of my knowledge, we did the examinations well after proper preparation. What I don’t understand is how collusion could occur in all 16 classrooms used by the students,” he said.

Indimuli denied that students were sent home after tension started building over the cancelled results. The Star, March 6, 2015
