AIDS Healthcare Foundation Global Data Manager Careers in Kenya


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to countries in all aspects of data management related to AHF Global programs including:
  • Responsible for backstopping at the Nairobi office in relation to all data management activities.
  • Responsible for supporting provider productivity report (PPR) data collection, implementing and maintaining the web-based PPR database and following-up with respondents worldwide on weekly and quarterly PPR data submissions and data audits;
  • Ensures data quality through data validation checks, including discrepancy/inconsistency checks, real-time data monitoring, data cleaning, and report generation of records from all Global programs databases.
  • Provides regular follow-up to ensure that all bureaus are making progress in the development of and maintaining viable M&E programs.
  • Reviews and updates tools and guidelines for site assessments including observational site assessment form, chart review tool, loss-to-follow-up tracking tool and ensure all tools are congruent with M&E plans
  • Prepares and presents analysis reports, summary tables, and graphics as requested. This includes interpreting, presenting and discussing results with the Global program teams.
  • Assists in providing training and guidance to global program staff in data management.
  • In collaboration with the Global Quality Team backstop global programmatic activities, including but not limited to program start-up, program development, reporting, assessment, monitoring and program improvement.
  • Supports other AHF operations and program activities as may be requested.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Applied Mathematics or related field
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, data management procedures and reports generation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); MS Outlook; navigating the internet; statistics software (preferably SPSS, R or STATA) and database software including MySQL and SQL Server.
  • Demonstrated management, leadership and executive capabilities.
  • Enjoys working as a member of a cohesive multi-cultural team, and is good at doing so.
  • Experience working with an International organization dealing with medical service delivery will be an added advantage.

    AIDS Healthcare Foundation Driver/HTC Provider Careers in Kenya

    Responsibilities:

    Driving duties
  • Drive staff to and from their destinations on time and ensure safety of the passenger and the vehicle at all times
  • Liaise with the Operations Officer for assignment and coordination of driving duties for each day
  • Monitor fuel usage regularly to ensure availability of fuel for the car when required

    Mail delivery
  • Liaise with the Operations Officer to deliver mails to required destinations.
  • Ensure that mail delivery is completed with signature of the recipient on the designated mail delivery books

    Documentation
  • Complete the daily travel log book and ensure that all information required is properly recorded and legible.

    Vehicle Maintenance
  • Liaise with the operations Officer to ensure that vehicle routine maintenance service is carried out promptly and the vehicle is kept clean and presentable
  • Ensure that all legal requirements for the vehicle are up to date
  • Record all vehicle repairs done (no matter how small) in the
    log book
  • Ensure that the vehicle is securely parked while on and off duty

  • Good customer care of passengers
  • Safe and confidential delivery of messages and documents
  • Up to date documentation of all errands in the logbook
  • Delighted in performing assigned duties

    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience
  • Five years driving experience, with a reputable organization
  • Possession of ordinary level certificate, with a valid driving permit

    AIDS Healthcare Foundation Director of Operations Careers in Kenya

    Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Bureau Chief, the DOO will lead all internal operations and will have the following responsibilities:
  • Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs.
  • Identify opportunities for AHF to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain high-performance of Bureau staff with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis and planning and program budgeting.
  • Prepare and submit an annual operational budget, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
  • Ensure the continued financial viability of the bureaus operational programs through sound fiscal management.
  • Working in partnership with the ABC, create strategic plans and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it
  • Coordinate the development of annual work plans and budget
  • Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against set goals for the organization
  • Provide for all staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence; bridge national and regional operations and
  • support an open-door policy among all staff

    Qualifications

  • As a prerequisite, the DOO must believe in the core values of AHF and be driven by the mission. The candidate should demonstrate a passion for breaking new ground to lead social change. Beyond that, the candidate should have proven experience in scaling a multi-site organization and demonstrated ability to both lead and build the capabilities of a driven, bright and diverse team.
  • The DOO must have management experience with a not for-profit or for organization and experience in managing a “values-driven” organization.
