The MESC+ Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree is a 2-year programme in Materials Science and Electrochemistry, fully taught in English, involving 5 Universities in 4 European countries (France, Poland, Slovenia and Spain), 2 Universities in USA and Australia, a European Research Institute (ALISTORE), the French Network on Energy Storage (RS2E), the Slovenian National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) and a leading Research Center in Spain (CIC Energigune).
It is run by a number of world-renowned members of Research Laboratories in the field of energy-related materials who work closely together through several European and trans-European projects.
MESC+: Mobility Scheme
MESC+ is composed of three semesters of classes and a mandatory fourth semester in a research laboratory for the Master thesis.
MESC+ students will therefore be offered to study in up to four different countries within 2 years.
Amongst these are; Warsaw (Poland), Toulouse (France), Amiens (France), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Bilbao (Spain), Philadelphia (USA), Melbourne (Australia), Alistore network (International), RS2E network (France), NIC (Slovenia) and CIC ENERGIGUNE (Spain).
The first semester is spent in Poland (WUT) for the whole class which then moves to France for semester 2 (UPS).
During semester 3, students choose specialized units more focused on engineering and prototyping of systems, to gain deeper knowledge into areas where the participating universities and research centers have world-class expertise.
Candidates apply for EMJMD, Industrial scholarships from the MESC+ partners or as self-funded students.
Students’ academic records will be rigorously scrutinized and applicants will be asked to explain their goals and interests in coming to Europe.
