4. Psychologist – PWID Program
Reports to: PWID HIV Prevention Specialist
The primary function for this position is to be a lead trainer for the provision of psychosocial services to patients who suffer from opioid dependence or other drug abuse related behavioral problems.
The position will also be responsible for provision of mentorship to the service delivery team working in the MAT clinics.
Roles and Responsibilities
Trainer of trainers as regards addiction counseling for service providers in the MAT programs
Providing mentorship support to the psychosocial team.
Meeting with clients to evaluate their health and substance problem.
Identifying issues arising and create goals and treatment plans and re-evaluate the treatment plans periodically.
Provide the clinic with clients’ progress on their treatment plans in the multidisciplinary team meetings.
Liaise with any additional treatment programs in line with the identified issues from the treatment plan and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment programs.
Teaching clients coping mechanisms
Helping clients find jobs or reestablish their career.
Leading group therapy sessions.
Meeting with family members and provide guidance and support.
Participate in community education and support programs for PWID, as needed
Participate in the dissemination of nationally developed PWID promotional materials and information.
Perform other related duties as required.
Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling
Registration with relevant bodies
Knowledge / experience
Practical Knowledge and experience in HIV management among people who Inject drugs (PWID) and or People who use drugs (PWUD)
Practical experience in addiction counselling especially among PWUD.
Comprehensive knowledge of client centered mental health and addictions interventions, practice methods and professional skills.
Knowledge of community resources, rehabilitation centers and CSOs is an added advantage.

5. Early Infant Male Circumcision officer
Overall Job Function:Will be responsible for the integration and implementation of neonatal MC services at UMB-supported health facilities in Migori County.
The officer will work in close collaboration with the VMMC advisor, program mobilizers and Communication team, VMMC surgical and Data teams.
Serve as a liaison person to the VMMC advisor, the facility service delivery staff, the clients and the Ministry of Health in EIMC implementation.
Ensure efficient management of day-to-day County EIMC operational activities of the program in order to deliver targets in time and within budgets
Ensure that the EIMC supplies and commodities are constantly available in the facilities
Ensure the program technical and logistical systems/procedures are in place, maintained and adhered to so that all support functions are carried out effectively and efficiently
Work together with CHMTs and HMTs in ensuring uninterrupted provision of EIMC services at the facilities
Strengthen health systems to support roll out of EIMC including training, facility readiness, and supervision and supply systems
Oversee implementation of quality assurance systems for EIMC through the Sub County and County focal persons
Liaise with the mobilization team to implement demand creation strategies that ensure constant client flow for EIMC teams
Ensure EIMC guidelines and protocols are well followed by the facility EIMC teams
Prepare monthly EIMC service delivery budget, monthly summary operations report and quarterly comprehensive operations report for the sub county.
Ensure maximum integration of EIMC services into the MNCH services in UMB supported health facilities within the County
Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
Degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing
At least three years’ experience conducting VMMC Surgeries
Trained and certified as VMMC surgeon
At least three years’ experience coordinating VMMC Program activities
Knowledge of EIMC implementation strategies

6. VMMC Technical Advisor
Overall Job Function:Will provide technical leadership, management and supervision of all VMMC activities in UMB -supported facilities under the PACT-TIMIZA project.
Oversee the planning and implementation of VMMC program in Migori County
Provide programmatic and technical oversight for the implementation of VMMC activities
Supervise staff involved in implementation of the VMMC program
Coordinate procurement of VMMC equipment and consumables
Provide relevant VMMC training to health care providers along with supportive supervision, and/or mentoring as necessary to ensure high quality service provision
Lead annual work planning and prepare quarterly reports for the program
Coordinate closely with the demand creation team to put together weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans for day-to-day and campaign activities that ensure a balance of supply and demand to meet targets.
Ensure sufficient post-training supervision to ensure providers are competent in the VMMC procedure
Represent UMB in meetings organized by the donor or MoH, technical working groups, and in professional circles through meetings, conferences and presentations.
Document best practices on VMMC for lay and technical audiences
To perform any other duties as assigned by the Program Director
Medical (MBCHB ) or Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Public Health)
At least five years’ experience in HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment programs, with a particular focus on VMMC preferred
Experience conducting or supervising VMMC procedures
Experience designing and/or implementing training programs for VMMC
Knowledge of key VMMC quality-assured, evidenced-based best practices, trends and new devices
Experience with donor-funded health projects
Excellent oral and written English communication skills

7. VMMC Training and Quality Assuarance Coordinator
The purpose of this job is to continuously implement and monitor the VMMC program quality assurance activities to ensure compliance to the national system.
Develop, review and ensure compliance to the internal QA/QC tools and checklist
Prepare and operationalize surgical staff training needs assessment and advises the management accordingly
Plan and conduct relevant surgical trainings and mentorship to the MoH clinical staff according to the national and county training requirements
Facilitate and co-coordinate sub county VMMC steering committee meetings, county QA meetings, quarterly joint CHMTs QA assessment and supervisions of the VMMC sites
Coordinates monthly CME activities for the VMMC program at the sites
Ensure MC guidelines are available at the sites and monitors compliance by the surgical teams
Prepares regular QA/QC feedback reports, work plans and strategies to eliminate adverse events
Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and at least four years of work experience in VMMC programs and/or as a quality improvement coordinator or similar role OR
Graduate degree in relevant discipline and work experience as a technical advisor, program manager or similar role
At least two years of experience working in Migori County.
Knowledge of QA/QC tools for health service delivery programs particularly VMMC in Kenya.
Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance and quality control
Knowledge of USG rules
