7. Moi University Senior Students Counselor Jobs in Kenya
- Scale 13 (1 Position) MU/ADM/7/2/2017

Job Description
An officer at this level will be responsible to the Principal Students Counsellor; Work at this level will
entail; Coordinating individual and group counselling of students services for various concerns, Assisting with orientation of new students; Reviewing and Preparing general information booklet for students; Liasing with the Wardens on matters concerning students counselling and advising; Dealing with the disadvantaged groups like physically disabled, mature age students and foreign students in collaboration with relevant service departments; Coordinating Family life counselling and education in conjunction with the University Health Centre and other doctors; and Performing any other duties as may be assigned.

Job Specification for Serving Officers
  • a Master degree or its equivalent in Counseling Education, Psychology or Social Sciences.
  • served in the grade of Student Counselor or in a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years;
  • shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Job Specification for Direct Appointment
  • Master degree in either Counseling Education, Psychology or Social Sciences
  • At least nine (9) years working experience in counseling and guidance services
  • Merit and ability as Students Counselor

    In addition to the qualifications set out in the constitution and the enabling statutes, the applicants for both serving officers and direct appointment, must meet the requirements of Chapter six of Kenya
    Constitution by providing relevant certificates from the following bodies:-
    - Director, Ethics an Antis corruption Commission (EACC)
    - Commissioner General, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
    - Chief Executive Officer, Higher Education Loan Bard (HELB)
    - Certificate of Good Conduct
    - Credit Reference Bureau African Ltd or Metropol Credit reference Bureau.
    - Professional Bodies (where applicable) to which the applicant belong.

    8. Moi University Senior Games Tutor Jobs in Kenya - Scale 13 (1 Position) MU/ADM/8/2/2017

    Job Description
    An officer at this level will be responsible to the Principal Games Tutor for supervising
    and coordinating the university’s extra-curricular activity programmes in sports and games; supervising and coordinating intramural sport and carrying the University intramural athletics; programme; Planning for future sports needs; liaising with other universities/institutions in encouraging interuniversity interaction; handling the office administrative roles and all other management duties;
    coordinating all purchase of sports/equipment; coaching and training a wide range of games and sports disciplines; and management and organization of sporting programmes.

    Job Specification for Serving Officers
  • Master degree in Physical Education or its equivalent from a recognized University
  • served in the grade of Games Tutor for at least three (3) years
  • showing merit and ability in management of sporting activities.

    Job Specification for Direct Appointment
  • Master degree in Physical Education or its equivalent from a recognized University;
  • sound knowledge of coaching and training a wide range of sports disciplines
  • nine (9) years post qualification work experience
