1. LVCT Health Statistician Jobs in Kenya

Purpose of the position:

To collect, process, analyse interpret and disseminate program data.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • To develop evaluation protocol and support in implementation of project evaluation activities
  • Prepare project analysis plans and write detailed specifications for analysis files
  • Participate in the project data base design to ensure that data capture is aligned to the program objectives and expected result areas
  • Supervise and guide the SI teams on preparation for data entry, editing and validation.
  • Manage data sets/variables and perform data cleaning
  • Take lead in analysis and interpretation of both quantitative and qualitative data and ensure monthly updates of program score cards
  • Interpret program statistical data in order to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information.
  • Prepare written interpretation of analyses and writes statistical sections of study reports and publications
  • Ensure accuracy, statistical integrity and regulatory compliance for all assigned projects.
  • Provide professional and technical advice in biostatistics and mentor more the M/E and research staff on statistical concept including data processing, analysis and scientific writing to enhance their understanding.
  • Participate in preparation of required reports

    Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, statistics or epidemiology (related fields will be considered)
  • Working knowledge of epidemiologic concepts and methodology
  • Experience using STATA, SPSS, SAS and/or R for database management and statistic alanalysis.
  • Strong programming knowledge using a high-level programming language
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, summaries of various methodologies, and descriptions of statistical results.
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written in the English language, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time and sometimes under strict deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple researchers
  • Ability to be consistently and extremely detail-oriented

    2. LVCT Health CQI Coordinator Jobs in Kenya

    Job Description:

    The incumbent will closely work with the HIV prevention and Care and Treatment program technical staff and the rest of the program implementation team to coordinate a systematic, organization-wide approach to improving client care, client safety and health outcomes.

    Key tasks and Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for HIV prevention and Care and Treatment improvement work teams, to include: working with management to identify the appropriate team members, coordination and facilitation of team meetings and management of improvement work team projects
  • Trains, educates and deploys HIV prevention and Care and Treatment quality improvement tools, methods and processes
  • Analyzes work processes using improvement tools and methodology to identify improvement opportunities
  • Be a service excellence expert in HIV services and will have direct accountability for client satisfaction and retention.
  • Works with management and the quality improvement team to establish effective measurement and data collection methods
  • Reviews and measures progress of the HIV prevention and Care and Treatment program with management and work team and takes appropriate action
  • Explores best practices across the LVCT sites to bring to the work
    team
  • Serves as communication link and resource person with regard to performance improvement of the HIV prevention and Care and Treatment program and client safety for departments, management and donor.
  • Prepare and present internal and external presentations to increase awareness and transfer of process improvement knowledge.
  • Provides objective metrics and tracking systems for improvement strategies to demonstrate impact
  • Work with the Ministry of Health to improve the competency and capability of health workers by strengthening quality training programs, including advocacy for quality improvements
  • Coordinates and participates in quality improvement committee meetings; develops agendas, prepares meeting minutes, prepares and makes presentations, and follows-up on action items
  • Effective documentation and reporting on Quality Improvement plans and achievements
  • Work with relevant partners to establish a performance monitoring system for tracking priority QI indicators to show process and outcome improvements

    Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with specific emphasis in: continuous improvement, Client satisfaction and systems analysis.
  • Knowledge of HIV preventionand Care and Treatment programs
  • Must possess effective organizational, management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both people and data.
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical data display

    3. LVCT Health HMIS Specialist Jobs in Kenya

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • To review existing data collection systems and advise on most suitable system for collecting the HIV prevention services data.
    LVCT Health Develop or adapt an electronic medical records system for use for comprehensive combination prevention services in the DICES. The system should be able to monitor clients’ service uptake and quality of services delivered through longitudinal follow up and should capture biomedical, behavioural and structural interventions comprehensively.
    LVCT Health Design a health information systems based on sound and current scientific evidence and appropriate technology that is able to link facility level data to county and National reporting systems including DHIS.
  • To develop and deploy a mobile application for collection of KP data by health providers and peer educators in the site and during outreach ensuring that the application syncs with the electronic medical records and provides up to date data.
  • To develop templates of reports/dash boards/score-cards for the DICES to report and track performance on delivery of combination prevention packages.
  • To maintain the system and address emerging issues until it is ready for official handing over
  • To build capacity of LVCT Health HMIS, ICT and M&E staff on the use and maintenance of the platform developed.

    Requirements
  • An individual with demonstrated experience developing and deploying electronic medical records systems and developing mobile applications for health data.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to lead a professional team.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years senior-level experience designing, implementing, and managing large, complex, HMIS programs or projects.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience implementing projects health and HIV programs.
