  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management.

  • Management Information System.

    Qualifications:
  • PhD. Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University
  • At least eight (8) years of University teaching, four (4) of which as fulltime
    Senior Lecturer.
  • Successfully supervised at least four (4) Masters Students and one (1) PhD.
    student, since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
  • At least four (4) articles in refereed journals since being appointed as a
    Senior Lecturer.
  • Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a
    group since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.
  • Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good
    quality teaching.
  • Evidence of attendance and contribution at learning conferences, seminars and workshops.

    III. Senior Lecturers – Main Campus.

    Areas of Specialization:
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management - Main, Mombasa, Kericho & Nyeri campuses.
  • Project Management – Main, Nakuru & Nyeri campuses.

  • Actuarial Science & Risk Management – Main campus.

    Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University.
  • Applicants must be prepared to pursue Ph.D. in their areas of
    specialization
  • PhD Registration and university teaching experience will be an added
    advantage.

    3. Directorate of Accommodation Services

    I. House Keeper - Grade C/D.
  • KCSE mean grade C+ (Plus) or its equivalent
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in House Keeping, Catering,
    Institutional Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • Computer Literate.
  • At least Three
    (3) years relevant work experience in a busy
    organization.

    II. Assistant Housekeeper – GRADE A/B
  • KCSE mean grade C-or its equivalent.
  • Diploma in Institutional Management or Accommodation and
    Laundry Services
  • Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

  • At least Two (2) years relevant work experience in a busy organization.

    III. Receptionist- GRADE III/IV
  • KCSE mean grade D+ (Plus) or its equivalent
  • Diploma in Front Office Management /Reception / equivalent from a recognized institution.

  • At least Three (3) years relevant work experience in a busy organization.

    IV. Night Attendant - Grade III/IV
  • KCSE certificate or its equivalent
  • Must have worked in the disciplined forces of Kenya or any other reputable security firm with a clean discharge certificate.
  • Current certificate of Good conduct.
  • At least Two (2) years relevant work experience in a busy organization.
  • First Aid training certificate.
  • Experience in working in an institution of Higher learning will be an added advantage.

    4. Digital School of Virtual and Open Learning
    Co-ordinator – Grade 12 (Garissa Centre)

    Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Education or related field from a recognized
    institution.
  • Five (5) years relevant experience in teaching and /or administration.

    Duties:
  • Promoting efficient management of respective Campuses.
  • Coordination of Academic and Administration issues at the Campus.
  • Assisting and advising students as required.
  • Serve as a liaison officer between Centre and the University.
  • Marketing Kenyatta University programs.

    Terms of Service:
    The terms for the above position includes a generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance.

    For teaching positions above Tutorial Fellow, employment will be on permanent and pensionable terms. Tutorial Fellows are employed on one (1) year renewable
    contract, to the maximum of three (3) years.
    Copies of certificates and testimonials should also be enclosed giving the names and addresses of three (3) referees who are conversant with the applicant’s
    competence in area of specialization.
